Teas from Wild Plants and Their Benefits
All these teas (unless specified) are brewed with one teaspoon of driedleaves or two teaspoons of fresh leaves to one cup of water. You should always steep the teas. This means pouring hot water over the tea substitutes andleaving for five to fifteen minutes. You should always dry the tea leaves and roots outof the sun, in dark airy places. Then you should store the dried teas in airtightcontainers.

Crab Stuffed Salmon with Lobster Sauce
I served this dish at an event I catered and people are still talking about it a year later. The lobster base used in the sauce can be found at stores offering specialty foods or you can order it off the internet. If you're really ambitious, you could also make your own lobster stock and reduce it. Using it in place of the clam juice. Then chop up the lobster and use it in the sauce and stuffing. I hope you enjoy this recipe.

Straight Talk from a Comfort Foodie - The Gravy Train
In all fairness to my mother and the great homemaker that she is, our family did enjoy the fruits of her "from scratch" dishes. She made great tuna fish sandwiches, and her pancake batter never had any lumps. Pepper steak from the electric wok was one of my favorites; I didn't care for the peppers, or the onions for that matter, but the thin slices of beef that had been soaked through and through with salty teriyaki sauce was right on the money. Come to think of it, that may have been the only dish that mom made that had sauce. I just seem to remember most of my childhood meals being very dry. I don't think she liked gravy much, because we never got it; which was the case with a lot of seemingly traditional foods.
My Grandmothers Heritage Recipe
The whole thing started when my sister-in-law called to say that she needed a special dessert for her Mother's 75th birthday party. "Don't you have a family recipe that would be meaningful as well as delicious."

5-Minute Strawberry Jam
Nothing tastes better than fresh picked strawberries. For many people, making homemade jams and jellies conjures up memories of grandmother in the kitchen preparing bushels of fruit, stirring and straining, and sterilizing jars. Actually, nothing could be simpler.
